What products work best to get rid of hemorrhoids?
This is embarassing, but I have been suffering with them for months. I’ve been using a generic ointment but all it does is ease pain. I need them to go away.

If store products don’t work then it’s time to see your doctor for a product that is much stronger & not avail. in the stores (prescription).

I have them too — both internal and external. Some people get them from sitting on the toilet too long (such as to read magazine) or from straining as with constipation (or perhaps for some other reason). I would really look further into the problem by getting a referral to a gastroenterologist (GI dr) since it’s been recurring for many months. What helped me (still get them though) was the prep-H ointment (as opposed to cream which isn’t supposed to absorb as well as ointment per pharmacist) though the prep-H wipes aren’t too bad and have witch hazel as the primary ingredient (and are flushable 
Only way to get RID of them is surgery . . or what I have done for years & years (info from my mom doing this for years & years) is:
The H_ _ _ with medications. Hemorrhoids are similar to a hernia but in a different place & where you can get to it. This ’stretched’ or ‘damaged’ piece ‘fell’ out of the spot it is suppose to be. Now this sensitive tissue is exposed to irritation from pants/panties, sitting on them and wiping = equals swelling, bleeding and pain to make them more swollen.
Solution: Take a thorough sits bath and wash the hemorrhoid as much as possible. When dry, gently push them back inside you where it belongs – - sounds gross. When it is back where it belongs EACH and EVERY time: the swelling goes down, heals itself = no more pain.
I hope you know that where you sit has a lot to do with your hemorrhoids. No matter what you use it will keep coming back. Don’t sit on cold steel chairs or cold cement. Some people bring their own extra padding before they sit down in wooden chairs. You can also sit in a pan of warm water several times a day if time permits to shrink the hemorrhoids.
I used “Desitin” and it helped with some of the discomfort. Your local pharmacy can recommend better ointments. I would go to the doctor if it doesn’t improve. You don’t want it to get worse.
I tried many treatment options and got very good results with Rue Care Oil. You also need to figure out what is causing your hemorrhoids and treat it as well.
